The first step towards becoming (or remaining) an official is to register with USA Hockey (the registration for officials will be open on August 1 on the USA Hockey website). Please note that, even if you are already registered with USA Hockey as a player or as a coach, you need a separate registration as an official. Within 24 hours after you register, USA Hockey will send you an email with information regarding your open book test.

You will also need to attend a USA Hockey officiating seminar at the level for which you registered. Please check the Southeastern District Seminars page to find the seminar that best fits your needs and your schedule and to register for the seminar of your choice. This page will be updated as new seminars are added to the schedule.
