In our continuing effort to identify and implement economies and time saving solutions, the SHOA Board of Directors announces a mandatory direct deposit initiative. Electronic transmission of funds to our officials effectively reduces postage, paper usage, eliminates the time and fuel consumption associated with moving paper checks around the community for signing and subsequent distribution.
The specifics:
Effective September 1, 2008, all SHOA members will be required to have funds distributed by direct deposit from our bank to either your checking or savings account at the banking institution of your choice.
Any member choosing to opt out of this program will incur a $3.00 charge per check as an administrative fee.
Non dues paying members of SHOA (those less than 16 years of age) are exempt from this program and will be provided with paper checks. For those of you under 16, you may participate in direct deposit. Many banks will allow for direct deposit to savings accounts; please check with you bank to determine if your account will qualify.
Guest officials, who are not required to join SHOA, but have come into this area to do a limited number of games, are exempt from this program and will be provided with paper checks with no administrative charge.
A games worked sheet or payroll report will be sent to each official electronically at the time funds are being disbursed.
The SHOA treasurer will be the sole repository of all required information relating to banking information.
If you are not currently receiving your game fees through direct deposit, please send the following information to Dave Boyer, SHOA treasurer at the following email address:
