SHOA serves a very large number of leagues throughout the MD-DC-VA area and many of these leagues have their own rulebook or their own variations of the USA Hockey Rulebook.

It is therefore critical that ice hockey officials be aware of the rules under which they work when officiating a game. If you have any doubts as to the applicable rules for a given game, please make sure you check with the SHOA scheduler.
