New Official Information
- Create an account with USA Hockey.
- Register and sucessfully complete an USA Hockey Officiating Seminar.
- Sucessfully complete the background screening process.
Joining the Organization
- Submit a SHOA membership form below. Please DO NOT fill out a membership request until you have received your USA Hockey Referee card and crest, and sucessfully completed the mandatory background screening, indicating that you are fully registered with USA Hockey.
- SHOA will then admit you into membership and give you access to the members only section of our web site.
- Log into web site, read, and submit the Independent Contractors Agreement (ICA) electronically.
- SHOA will establish an account for the new member in Arbiter, the web-based system used by SHOA for scheduling officials. As soon as your account is created in Arbiter, you will receive an email from Arbiter with all the instructions you need to use your account, the first time and on subsequent logins. Follow the instructions to log into Arbiter, update the personal information and phone numbers, and click on the "Ready" button.
